A new after prom idea was a big hit for Bellefontaine High School students this year.

The After Prom Crawl was held in downtown Bellefontaine late Saturday night.

The Bellefontaine High School After Prom is a tradition that is planned by parents of the Junior class. This year's plan looked a lot different than in years past. With declining participation over the past few years, the parents reached out to the students for feedback. The decision to keep the kids local this year was unanimous.

The idea of the After Prom Crawl came during a meeting while discussing options for students and local locations. Shortly after, the ball was in motion and a plan was set in place. Many local businesses were thrilled to participate or donate.

The After Prom kicked off Saturday night at 11:30 with pizza, tacos, donuts, and snacks at the Bellefontaine Presbyterian Gym where students checked in for the evening. They were free to roam the designated areas downtown. Students enjoyed axe throwing at Axe Ventura, putt-putt and laser tag at Putt & Play, an escape room put on by the Decode Zone at LoCo Depot, fun selfie stations at The Photo Booth, and dancing along with mocktails were featured at The Syndicate. If students stuck around for the entire evening, they were entered into prize drawings that were held at The Syndicate Sunday morning at 2:30.

A special thanks goes out to the Bellefontaine Police Department for their support and presence for the evening. Also, thanks to the parents who spent many hours planning, the parents who donated items, and the parents who stayed up all evening to chaperone.

The Junior Class parents also want to thank the following sponsors for their support (pictured below).
